Seems like it would be easy, right? Well, I encountered this a few days ago. One of our former students from before the two databases were linked applied. He had an old registrar record, but no old admission record. Hope that makes sense. If I just create an admissions record as normal, if he moves on to become a new student, it will create a new registrar record, correct? How do I do this in the most efficient manner? Is there a way to hook the new admissions record up with the old registrar record when/if the time comes?

Here's my suggestion. (This just happened to me this morning running enrollments & re-enrollments- and not for the first time, either.)
If the student had an applicant record, you would simply add a new application to their applications tab. Since he/she does not have an applicant record, create an applicant record and walk it through the normal enrollment process- and once you have used the Enroll Applications Wizard, and made a new student, merge the two student records, using the newest one as the primary.
It works really well- I just ran this procedure this morning- and found a wayward indvidual record for the same student that I merged in as well.
Thanks
