Good morning everyone! I'm having difficulty getting back into the groove of things & I can't figure out this report!
I need to report on those who have given a total of $10k or more over three years. Seems simple enough... but I can't find a canned report that will do it and knowledge base isn't giving me any clear answers! Help!!!!
I need the donors who have given a total of $10k or more within the last three years. The info I would like to see is the constituent's name, the sum total given within the last three years. Maybe this is something that should be done in a query?
Total Amount Greater or Equal to $10,000. Within that use a filter of the dates you want. For example Between 1/1/2003 and 12/30/2005. If you need specfic gift types also, this filter is where you would apply that.
Output the name and the Gift Total Amount and you should be good to go.
I would use the Top Donors Report under the Analytical tab. In the General tab change the date range to your dates. In the Format tab click on the word Detail and click on Amount given and then change the number to say 100. Then run the report and check if the last person has over 10K. Depending upon what you find go back and change the number until you only see the givers that you want.
There may well be some standard reports for this (like Don's suggestion) but I am such a query/export person, that I usually go this route because I find it faster.
BTW Don I love the "idea" of your signature, even though I DON'T love the Steelers. Only about two months away from opening day!
It depends upon who is asking for the data. If it is for upper management then I will use the canned reports. If it is for just a count of people or someone needs an Excel file then I will use the query/exports. That is the beauty of RE, there is more than one way to get the job done and to keep our jobs.
