Please tell my I'm not crazy! About a month ago I happened upon a canned report that summarized credit card gifts by card type. Now I'm trying to find it to utilize for our month end reconciliation with accounting and I don't see it anywhere! I see there is a credit card report within batch - but that's not it. This one just gave a summary - $200 for Discover, $1500 for Amex...etc.
any ideas???

It sure would be nice to have a canned report for Credit Card Transactions... but in the meantime I've found that I had to create a query and then run it through the Financial Reports - Gifts Detail & Gift Summary Section. I like using the KISS (Keep it simple silly) methodology and our accounting department is satisfied with my report.

My GIFT Query in the Criteria section is Gift Payment Type = Credit Card and Gift Date between (I do this on a monthly basis)
And my output fields are basic: Name, gift amount, gift card type, authorization code, gift date, fund, appeal....
And then I sort by gift date.

Using this query sometimes I export it to an Excel Format and play with it or use the canned report to put it together... depends on who's asking for the information.

To avoid any problems you should be aware of your current credit card report not less than once a month. As credit card companies report about your card condition to the bureaus every month.
In this way, you will be able to pay the bill so that your report shows lower credit usage amount.
