We are a hospital foundation working on updating and better reporting of Cumulative Giving. We are wondering what other organizations do about reporting giving when the full amount given is not the same as the donation amount (i.e. sponsorships with quid pro quo values!). Currently we report whole amount regardless of tax credit issues...however we have begun to have minimal amounts that fall into the quid pro quo scenario (purchase a game of chance) that we enter into each record for deposit purposes but is then added to the cumulative giving. We would like to hear what other organizations do in similar circumstances...we do not have the event module!
