Rep Power: 0 | Angie, Just for this purpose, we created a unique appeal. If someone's original pledge was assigned an appeal of "AF 2007 LYBUNT" we create an extra appeal named "AF 2007 LYBUNT Overpayment". When we select "Create a Cash Gift for Remainder," we assign this appeal to the remainder. I can then run an appeal report for gifts assigned to that appeal. Also, this is especially helpful when payments come in for gifts pledge to the previous fiscal year. I book the Cash Remainder to the current fiscal year, but keep the appeal as the last fiscal year overpayment. When I prepare my solicitation list for the current year, I can choose to exclude people who have cash gifts for the current fiscal year with last year's appeal. Not sure that I've explained this in a way that makes sense, but trust me, it helps. That's how my shop handles it and we've never encountered a problem with it. Hope that helps, Dwayne
