I would like to create an event report that shows who is attending what "units" of one larger events... is this possible? More details, if this will help - Alumni Weekend is the event. Within that event we have several smaller events, which are called "units" on the event record, that alumni can register to attend. I would like one report that shows registered constituents for each smaller unit. Many thanks!

There is no canned report right now that reports on units. You can query on them (who has X unit on their record) and then include those people in an event list but you can't get one list that either sorts by unit or even shows unit.

What you might try is a pivot report. I think I was able to do that once in my previous position. It's quick and dirty and not pretty like ther reports, but it could work.

Because the event reports are so bad many organizations have cone crystal reports for most or all of their event reports - does anyone have any crystal reports they can share for events? If not, it could take some time to develop new crystal reports from scratch.

We have run into the same problem with the Event canned reports and do not have anyone on staff who knows Crystal Reports (yikes!). We normally do not use the name tag option in RE. So what I have done is add some things to the event participant defaults so that we can export a unit number. Bear with me on this one, might hard to explain over email...

All of our participant defaults contain the following (which can be exported)

"print name tag" = name i.e Suzie Chapstick
"number of tags" = 1
"status" = not printed

We then export this info (except for status) along with the ticket type so that we know that "Suzie Chapstick" bought "1" "general ticket" for example.

I also shoudl note that we set up our events module so that each attendee has his/her own record that lists the type of ticket even if that ticket was paid for by someone else.

Hope this helps (and isnt confusing!) We're pretty new to using NetEvent and Events so we are just testing these things out as well.
