Hello,

I need to create a weekly revenue report. I will be reporting on Corporation, Foundation, and Fundraising Corsortia gifts (all can be pulled by constituency code). Where I need help is that I also have to report on Direct Mail gifts (appeal code), Bequests (fund ID and Campaign ID) and our $1000+ donor group (currently an attribute but could be turned into a constituency code if needed). Many in our $1000+ donor group give through corporations and foundations so the individual receives the soft-credit for the gift.

Is there a canned or custom report that I could create? The ideal set up is:

Weekly Revenue Report
Foundations $XXXXX
Corporations $XXXXXX
Fundraising Consortia $XXXXX
$1000+ Donor Society $XXXXXXX
Direct Mail $XXXXXX
Bequests $XXXXXXX
Other Gifts (the catch all for all other gifts) $XXXXX

My big concern is that I don't want to count gifts in more than one category. I have never created a custom report before and need any help I can get.

You can create a crystal report and add a formula field to say "If conscode = fdtns then "Foundations" Else (blank), If conscode = corporations then "corporations" Else (blank) ....." THEN use this formula to base your GROUP on in the report. The order in the formula will be important. If a corporations gift is in response to a direct mail appeal (for example) then this gift would fall under corporations if you place corporations above direct mail in your formula. Gifts will not be coutned twice.
