Hey gang... I finally made it back from Charleston... (details to follow later)
I am trying to do a fund comparison year to date.
We have a separate fund for each annual fund.
I am trying to determine where we were this time last year for
fund=05-06 SMF
AND
I am trying to determine where we are this time this year for fund=06-07 SMF
I can get the 06-07 but I can't get an accurate number for 05-06.
We want any cash, stock,in kind OR any pledges (and their applicable status on 10-27).
I'm running the donor category report but can't come close so any suggestions?
Yep apparently I"m still brain fried. (I'm not even sure I've explained this well).
Thanks!

I had to build a crystal report to do this... I couldn't find anything that would give me the numbers that I needed. Basically you take the gifts, and using formulas, I determined where they fit (because I started this total giving, with 8 columns, 4 columns being a gift date range (usually a month) showing this year that month and a year ago this month, and also showing YTD for this year and last year, and then percentages on those figures). It took a while to get working, but its nice now that it does.
Let me know if you need help with the formulas.

I may not understand fully - however here is an idea. I did a pivot table built on a gift query. The criteria was fund (one of) - list your funds and date (between) list your date range. The output was the gift amount, gift Date and fund ID. Then in the pivot table I used the fund ID for the column and the total gift amount for the row. Is that going in the direction you need?
