Activity Report

Hey guys,

I need to run a report showing pledges to an appeal, and who made a payment to them, and in what amount.

Example: John Smith makes a 100k pledge.
Then X, Y, and Z all make payments in the amount of 20k to said pledge

Report would look like:

John smith - pledge - 100k
---- X - pay-cash - 20k
---- y - pay-cash - 20k
---- z - pay-cash - 20k

Any ideas?

Hehe, you really don't want the answer to this... Are you running it off the tables, or trying to put together an export to get this information?

How are the gifts from others linked back to John Smith? Soft credits?

The pay-cash would be on the individual records.
The Pledge is on the individual who made the pledge's record.

How I solved this:
There is no report that will do this, which I think is amazing. I called up support (and spoke to Charlie, who is excellent) and they confirmed this.

I did however get the info out by opening up the pledge gift record, hitting the top row, and going to edit/export into excel.

When you enter the gift, you can apply it to any open pledge by choosing Gift > Apply To > Pledge from the menu. In that dialogue box, there is a button to load pledges from other constituents. There is a table in the back end that stores the payment ID and the pledge ID.

I concur. It would be so simple to add the payee to the activity report, too. Ohhhh for the world.

Ah, so it does. Apologies for the lameness of my reply, however we don't deal all that much in pledge processing...
