We're preparing to install Researcher's Edge & I'm trying to get a handle on how the security/adding users works.
In Raiser's Edge, when we add a new user to the dbase, the user is automatically assigned as 'REUser' as a server login therefore allowing complete access to RE but within the limits imposed on the security profile for their RE login.
Does TRE work the same way? What users are automatically set-up (besides a dbo) when TRE's installed on the server? Or do I have to set up each person that's going to use TRE as a user in SQL & then add them within the TRE program? (And it's OK to tell me that I'm making this too difficult)
Thanks so much for your help.

My recollection is that once the program is installed on the server and on each client workstation, then all you need to do is go to configuration in TRE and add the users that you want. We used Windows Authenticaion, using servername\server login name. It was really quite painless!!
Good luck,
Barbara
