how did you "examine" it? Does creating a batch in RE somehow generate code you can look at?

Check BatchFiled table:

Select FIELDNUMBER
from BATCHFIELD
where BATCHHEADERID = 'your batch ID'

Or you can write a small code that loops trough the batch fields.
