As in the last 2 years we'll be a having a Blackbaud User Society Pre-Conference session just for our members. It will be a chance to meet those who are able to come to the conference early enough and meet with some of the Blackbaud developers who work on our favorite products.

As many of you amy have noticed the IDeas section is a bit broken and we can no longer approve new submission that come in. It is an open source tool called Pligg and it never has worked right. We used it last eyar to identify the top things that we wanted to see fixed in RE. I was thinking this year we might try something different, or in addition to that.

What would you like to see in a Blackbus pre-conference session?

I'm glad we are still going ahead with the pre-conference user group meeting, despite the non-functioning "Ideas" section. Let me know if you want help collecting and compiling any suggestions that come in to this topic area.

no details finalized yet. Probably 2-4, and then on to the software developers session from 4-6.

I may be blind but I don't see any grouping of ideas for the conference? It seems like collecting these all in one folder or subsection might be nice. Am I missing this somewhere already in the Ideas section? If not, I guess I'll just add an idea standalone but not sure how many others will find it...

There is no charge for the Blackbus User Group pre-conference session (although it is nice if you do kick in a few dollars ,via this forum, to help pay for badges etc).

The conference organizers find us a room and also invite representatives from various areas of R.E., BBNC,etc. to answer our questions.

Last year, we submitted the questions to BB prior to the meeting, to give them time to research the problems.

I don't know if this helps - but last year we kind of convened in the lobby of the conference hotel. I believe there was a sign designating the meeting room. I may have this wrong. Do you remember, Harriet?

Last year we had an assigned conference room, pre-arranged with the BB conference co-ordinator. The room was listed on their official sessions grid. I am guessing it will be the same again this year.

I would assume the same thing. When you check in it should either be listed there or the BB staff can help you find it. They may not be able to tell us the room ahead of time.

I have confirmed that the pre-conference session will be on Sunday from 2-4pm. The room I am not sure of, but we'll keep you up to date.

The agenda is still tentative but a bit part of the meeting will be reviewing the Ideas we've all voted on that are not yet resolved. We'll get a chance to talk to some o the Blackbaud developers as to why these things are not yet implememnted and what is involved in getting stuff done to RE.
