I am registered for the Charleston conference! I registered early to take advantage of the early bird price and to be sure my place is secured (it normally sells out)

They have not posted the conference hotels and rates so I am waiting to reserve my room until they get the rates secured. It looks as if the prices have gone up so they range from $110 - $200. If the conference center hotel is up to $200 this year I will definitely be looking for a non-smoking roommate this year again.

I'm registered. I checked with the conference center hotel, and they already have rooms available at the conference rate $151. Those go fast, so you might way to secure a room if you'd like to stay at the Embassy Suites.

I'm in at the conference center as well. The $151 rate is for 2 double beds if you want non-smoking. King beds are smoking rooms only

If anyone gets in a pinch closer to the date I may entertain applications for a roommate

I am registered for the conference, but I was able to get a hotel room at the Embassy for only 4 nights - arriving Nov 15th and leaving on Nov 19th. I wanted to stay over one more day but they were full for the night of the 19th. I will call them again later in the year to see if I can extend by one day.

I just made numerous calls and even spoke to the front desk manager at the conference hotel. According to all, the Embassy Suites is completely sold out. Smokers, non-smokers, etc. She was very helpful and directed me to the Residence Inn next door. It isn't "connected" to the conference center, but it is literally across a parking lot and is a few bucks cheaper than the official conference hotel.

I am getting ready to make my travel arrangements for the conference. I have not been before. I cannot find flights on Sunday the 16th that arrive in time for the pre-conference workshops. I am trying to decide if it is worth the extra expense of the extra night to fly out the 15th. I will also be staying over the 19th otherwise I have to do an overnight flight.

It looks like there are 3:30 hours of pre-conference workshops on Sunday. Does anyone have an idea what might be included? Any suggestions based on your experiences?

you have to pay extra for most of the pre-conference workshops on sunday. HOWEVER, the Blackbus group meeting with Blackbaud (which is free) occurs Sunday afternoon at the same time.

Wow, the Embassy is already booked?! Makes you wonder how many rooms they reserved. I made my reservations earlier this month thankfully. I know 3 other people from my org also already have their reservations.

Last year was my first and I was busy absorbing everything and didn't really get a chance to meet any of you much beyond the Blackbus portion on Sunday. I hope this year I'll be able to connect with more of you.

These forums have been so very helpful. Much like Angie, last year was my first and I was running between meetings and sessions - it was due to many people's comments last year that I joined the User Society. I'm looking forward to connecting some faces with names this year - and giving some personal thanks for all the great help I've received here.

My reservations went through last Thursday at the Embassy. I'm glad I reserved early!
