Talking Smiley Flashy People

Hey guys,
The blinky smiley faces we wore last year were a huge hit...slightly maniacal at first, but a huge hit. They definitely were an immediate way to promote the BUS, known at the time as the forum. Presenters definitely took note at the presence of forum members in their sessions, identified by the Smiley badges.

What are we going to do this year? I'd donate towards more blinky things...

Matthew

tshirts. I'm gonna make up the cheapest shirt I can and order a whole bunch all at once. Everyone who attends the conference gets one at cost.

While t-shirts sound fun... we are there for several days and can't wear the t-shirt every day or we'll become the people no one wants to sit next to in a workshop. I also look horrible in t-shirts and probably wouldn't wear one at all.

I love t-shirts and I'm jealous because I will NEVER get to go to a conference that is not within driving distance ever. I had to grovel to get to the local APRA (2 hours 45 minutes) because it had a $60 registration fee. We be mighty poor.

Have fun......

T-shirts are okay and I would get one to wear on one of the days... But if the blinky thing is a button, I'd be able to wear it every day!

Blinking Badges – Custom Blinking Buttons for Trade Shows sells custom blinking badges ($2.15 each for qty of 100)

Blinking Buttons, Custom Printed Buttons, Flashing Light Buttons, Button Printers, Advertising Buttons says they are as little as $1.00 a piece minimum qty of 125 but I'm sure that lower quantity is more than $1.00 a piece

There is a an option when you post pressing the button "go advanced" that says "automatically retrieve titles from external links". This is checked by default. If you uncheck this it will leave the URL and not change it to the title of the website

I would wear a hat every day. Is it rude to wear a hat in a workshop audience? Bucket (fishing) hats are fun and could be made to really bring attention to us!

I'd wear a hat too, but someone else may feel about hats the way you do about t-shirts as far as they may not feel they look good in one.

I think clothing of any sort is questionable.

One alternative to blinky buttons could be a wrist band. It would have to be black of course. But I don't know how much attention it would get from the Blackbaud emps. I seem to take notice when a person is wearing one close by but probably not a distance.
