Every session at the conference is categorized as Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced. A tool has been added to the forum to show that in a column to the left of the thread title in any forum.
I'll be now working on a way for you to search the forum for all "Advanced" sessions, etc. If this works out, these prefixes will be applied to other forums.

But what I really want to know is - for those of you who have gone before, are there any presenters that should not be missed? Does anyone know any of the presenters? Recommendations?

If you're a techie, Shaun Sullivan, Emerging Technology; Shaun Sullivan, Building Practical Solutions Using Blackbaud's API; and if you're going to the technology reception, Shaun Sullivan. (Do you notice a theme here?)

It is better to live your destiny imperfectly than to live an imitation of somebody else's life with perfection.
Mark Van Barr is excellent at teaching the basics - even to those of us who think we know everything (ME) I still learn a trick or two each year from him. I love hearing him talk (with his Dutch Accent) and try never to miss his sessions.
Jim Bush is absolutely fantastic and energetic and smart. He is really engaging and the kind of presenter I want to be.
I'd also say that some of the classes you need to beware are a bit too much of a sales pitch than the description tells you. You will get a Book (or 2) when you arrive and I suggest you look through the class materials and see if it is pitching NetCommunity, Information Edge, or another module that you do not have and will not be getting.
It can be frustrating to get 10 minutes into a class and find out you aren't getting anything you can use. I suggest reviewing the book the night before each day and selecting your classes then. The schedule happens fast and you frequently don't have time to make decisions between classes.
One personal suggestion:
Bring a sweater or jacket to the conference. Although the weather is nice in SC this time of year the climate indoors can be frigid due to AC. I also wear capris or long pants - not shorts or skirts because I'd freeze otherwise.
Is everyone bringing the suggested bandana for the Big Easy event monday night?
