Since we've never used RE, I don't think I can give you an intelligent answer. I just know we like etapestry. Previously we used Fundimensions and researched software for our needs. We not only track contituent giving but also attendence at team-led events we hold in local churches and internationally. We also need to keep track of a lot of volunteers who serve at team members on six different events we can hold at local churches around the country. There are other things we like to keep track of (musical instruments played, singers, etc. for worship events, youth, children, etc.) SO for our purposes etapestry has been great b/c it can be maniputaled to suit your needs. We've added numerous defined fields particular to our needs. I'm not sure what your needs are and as I said we've never used RE so have no comparison there, but etapestry has served us well.
