Rep Power: 0 | Salutation problem in Renewal Letter merging I'm using the Renewal letter option in mail to send my membership renewals. This is a conditional merge that merges my first, second and lapsed letters for expiring memberships. The program I'm having is that the "wizard" preselects the fields that I can merge into my letters which seems fine (expiry date, address, addressee, membership type, etc.). The problem is that although there is a salutation field, when I do the merge, the salutation is the addressee.
As an example, I have Mr. & Mrs. Michael Nichols as the addressee in the constituent record and then Mr. & Mrs. Nichols as the salutation. But when it merges, it merges both as the addressee so all my letters are coming out addressed to the full name: Dear Mr. & Mrs. Michael NIchols.
Is there somewhere else that it is pulling this salutation from? |
